INTERNATIONAL KABADDI FEDERATION
Under the leadership of President J.S. Gehlot and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Jaya A. Shetty and with the active Suppport of Mr Vivek Patil and Karnala Sports Academy, International Kabaddi Federation has successfully organized the 2nd Kabaddi World Cup 2007.

KARNALA
SPORTS ACADEMY
Karnala Sports Academy is started with foresight and vision
of Mr Vivek Patil,
MLA Panvel and President Karnala Sports Academy.
Main objective of the KSA is to groom Olympians to win
medals for India and to bring laurels to our country.
To achieve this professional coaching and Olympic standard
facilities will be provided.
Karnala Sports Academy is being developed in 12 ½
Acres land. The academy is
planned to become one of the best sports complexes in
India having most of the Olympics standard facilities
under one roof including Pistol & Riffle shooting
range.

HON’BLE
SHRI VIVEK PATIL – MLA PANVEL
Born on 19th June, Shri. Vivek Patil was brought up in
village atmosphere of Kasarbhat. After completing graduation
from university of Pune, he took admission in law college.
While undergoing this course, he was recalled in 1979
to contest ZP election, which he won with large margin
of votes. Thereafter he was elected as chairman of Panchayat
Samiti in 1982 and remained on this prestigious position
till 1990. During this period he developed remote areas
by improving conditions of roads, transportations, health
care centers, primary & secondary school in villages,
supply of quality seeds & fertilizers to farmers etc.
In 1995 he won assembly election from Panvel & became
MLA. He was reelected again in 1999 and 2004. He started
‘Raigad Worker’s Union’ & ‘Raigad
Shramik Ekta Sangha’ (Raigad Worker’s Unity
Forum) for benefit of workers. He encouraged self employment
and helped needy unemployed youths by helping them to
get loans from banks. He started ‘Karnala Nagari
Sahkari Bank’, Karnala Poultry Farms & Karnala
Dairy Farms. He is known throughout Maharashtra for his
initiative to impose ban on Dance Bars.
