SHRI VIVEK PATIL – MLA PANVEL
Born on 19th June, Shri. Vivek Patil was brought up in
village atmosphere of Kasarbhat. After completing graduation
from university of Pune, he took admission in law college.
While undergoing this course, he was recalled in 1979
to contest ZP election, which he won with large margin
of votes. Thereafter he was elected as chairman of Panchayat
Samiti in 1982 and remained on this prestigious position
till 1990. During this period he developed remote areas
by improving conditions of roads, transportations, health
care centers, primary & secondary school in villages,
supply of quality seeds & fertilizers to farmers etc.
In 1995 he won assembly election from Panvel & became
MLA. He was reelected again in 1999 and 2004. He started
‘Raigad Worker’s Union’ & ‘Raigad
Shramik Ekta Sangha’ (Raigad Worker’s Unity
Forum) for benefit of workers. He encouraged self employment
and helped needy unemployed youths by helping them to
get loans from banks. He started ‘Karnala Nagari
Sahkari Bank’, Karnala Poultry Farms & Karnala
Dairy Farms. He is known throughout Maharashtra for his
initiative to impose ban on Dance Bars.
CONTRIBUTION
TO EDUCATIONAL FIELD :
He was actively involved in Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Konkan
Education Society & Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha.
He was founder president of Changu Kana Thakur Highschool.
Understanding needs of society for IT education he started
Shahu Institute of Computer Education – first C-DAC
& MSCIT recognized Computer training institute in
New Panvel. Started ‘Niwasi Krida Prabodhini’
a boarding school to impart quality academic and sports
education to groom outstanding sportsmen with dreams to
win medals for India in Olympics. 80% students of this
school get everything absolutely free. For tribal students
(Adivasis) he started high school at Chawane, an interior
village. At Rasayani Agricultural Products Marketing College
is set up.
He has always encouraged not only brought students but
also poor and needy students by giving them scholarships.
Some have become doctors and engineers but most of them
are successful in their respective fields.
Started English Speaking & Personality Development
Classes for remote villages youth to groom them to get
jobs in the competitive world and prepare them for the
industrial revolution about to take place in the Raigad
District.
SPORTS:
His contribution to development of sports is unparallel.
He would do everything to groom Olympians to win medals
for India. Similarly he wants to popularise Indian games
throughout the world. The 2nd World Cup Kabaddi Tournament
is planned with the same intension. |
